Earth Magic

What is a ritual really...well it is, an established or prescribed procedure for a religious or other rite. In the metaphysical world we use rituals for a number of different things. In our world a ritual is like a spell with specific intent. You can perform a ritual for everything from happiness,prosperity,love, peace, healing, rain snow, etc. We will dive into the world of rituals/spells and hopefully have you performing your first ritual in no time.

First and foremost lets talk about some rules, everything has rules right. The magical world has all types of rules the most important have to do with the practice of magic no no's basically. Evil magic is not cool at all and is something that should not be practiced. It really comes down to "is it even worth the risk". Here are a few simple rules to read and accept before practicing magic:

1. Do not practice magic to annoy, irritate, harm, hurt, or to kill another person.
2. Do not practice magic that will blind, influence,manipulate or control another person.
3. Do not practice magic to try to win love of a specific person.
4. Do not practice magic to try and win sexual favors from another person.
5. Do not sell your magic spells.
6. Do not practice magic to satisfy your ego.
7. Do not practice magic of any kind fir another person (even if beneficial) without his or her consent.

The rules above have been comprised over thousand of years  from experienced students of magic. The misuse of magic in any of the methods described  above and other, turns it into an instrument of evil . If you practice said magic, you will soon be a victim of your own spells. Alright now lets get into a little Natural magic today. Natural magic allows you to see your life in a different perspective. Instead of a endless series of test disappointments, or failures...view life as a joyous celebration, a union with other humans, animals,the earth and the creator. All the rituals we will go over today are ones you can try for you everyday life to get your feet wet.

Natural magic different than the other branches of this world. Most spend years acquiring the tools in other branches where as natural magic uses the necessary tools. Here below is a list of tools you will use for almost all of your rituals/spells. Making yourself a box to hold these items could be very beneficial.

1. A knife of some kine, to cut herbs, to snip yarn and to etch symbols onto candles. Any knife will due but a white handled one is best.
2. Small bowls , needed for water and herbs. You may also need a few other dishes as well.
3. Pair of scissors
4. Candle holders
5. Herbs
6. Stones
7. Cloth
8. Thread or Yarn
9.  Matches
10. Paper
11. Small Cauldron or iron pot

Once you have thees items find a place of magic. This is where you will leave your tols and do indoor rituals/spells, this is your alter.

When doing healing's and many other things you are to prepare before starting(grounding). With natural magic it is the same principle before performing a spell/ritual you can ground or perform a a general preparatory ritual. Lets learn some simple spells to get us started.

Earth 

~House plant blessing~

Needed for this ritual

1. Potted houseplant
2. One pencil and pen
3. One 1-in square piece of paper
4. Small amount of water

Plants grown in the house need a lot of attention. Place your house planet and other items(crystals) on a flat surface near or in the lace you will end up growing your plant. Using a pencil or green pen, draw a simple small picture of the plant in great vibrant health while drawing onto a small piece of paper. Draw lines of streaming energy coming from the plant and visualize the plant's healthy future with doing it. Next gently brush the paper(picture side down) against the plant, giving to love and energy, say these words:

Shoots unfurl; Flower bloom; leaves uncurl; In this room; Plant of green, forever strong, grow now here where you belong. Roots push deep and branches climb by the power of this rhyme. Grow now, plant; this is the time!!

As you say  these words block out negative thoughts. Next fold the paper with two creases into a small square. Push this into the soil. Close to the pots wall. As you say this;

I give you power!

Move the plant to its new home and water while saying;

I give you life!

Set down the empty water container. Hold your  hands over the plant palms down and say:

I give you love!

It should grow beautifully.

The sand trap

This is a easy way to "trap" negative energies before they enter your home.

Tools needed

1. a small jar ( wash and dry, remove all labels)
2. equal amounts of two different color sands ( not artificially colored)
3. a spoon
4. two small bowls to hold the sands

Pour one type of sand into one of the jars sand #1 until it is just over half full then pour into one of your bowls ( repeat for sand #1 &#2). Now hold your protective hand over sand #1. Look at it and see it humming writhing with protective, protective energy. Touch the sand, caress it. Visualize it sending off sparks of bright whit light that ensnare negative energy and draw it inward. Charge with personal power, repeat with sand #2.

Place jar before you. Scoop out a level spoonful of sand #1 and pour into the jar while saying:

Trap of sand, Trap the ill. Trap the bane and Evil will.

Repeat these steps alternating sands 1 and 2 add layers to the jar. Once you finish you will have a jar with different colored sand, hold it between your hands and say twice;

Trap of sand, Trap the ill. Trap the bane and Evil will.

Push power into the sand trap. Place outside your home hidden among the plants, buried in the earth or even mixed in a flower pot filled with dirt...place you jar in a sunny window if you can not, works just as well.
