How to start your own garden

So my partner and I decided to go head and start practicing our growing skills and start a small garden. The process has been a fun tedious journey but we've loved every minute of it. I wanted to give you all out there who would love to but just haven't. Here is an easy way to get start you first garden.

Step 1: Germinate your seedlings

Your first step will be to germinate your seeds before placing them in there growing area. The way you do this is by letting the seeds sit in moisture. Most people use a paper towel and a sandwich bag.  Take your paper towel and wet it then take a few seeds and place them inside the paper towel. Wet it so that it will hold water for a few days then you just wait. Soon how will have seeds with little sprouts coming out of them, that is when you know they are ready to plant.

Step 2: Prepare your growing area

We decided to dig a plot in our back yard. It took a couple days because we ran in to tons of rock.

Once the hole was done we then had a big hole and a huge mound of dirt and rock. We then sifted the dirt, there were so many rocks it was crazy. We ended up taking the roots as well.

Step 3: Place your seeds

You are going to need to do a little research on your plants and what they need to grow. This means how far apart they need to be and how deep should they be buried. You take this info and plant your seeds.

Step 4: Water and watch grow

Last but not least fill the hole with the left over dirt and roots. With the roots shake out the plants and try not to break the root. Once your hole is filled begin watering every 2-3 days depending on your area and there go you have just started your first garden.
